Billionaire challenges poker all-stars

Recent reports suggest that an interesting battle is emerging in the poker world with a new billionaire gambler in town.

Andy Beal, the hugely successful US businessman, is said to be involved in an ongoing set of high stake poker events with some of the finest pros in the game.

Players such as Doyle and Todd Brunson, Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan, Ted Forrest, Minh Ly, Chau Giang, Jennifer Harman and Ted Forrest have been playing Beal in a series of these high-stake games.

The group of pros are collectively referred to as The Corporation and take on Beal in Head-up play with the stakes set around the $50,000/$100,000 level.

Games are played within the high roller's area at the Wynn hotel and casino and some of the pots are reported to go beyond the $1 million mark.
