Glu Mobile has announced plans to provide mobile phone users with new poker offerings direct to their handset.

The mobile entertainment company is creating and publishing World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em and World Series of Poker Player Advisor for phones.

The two products are the first in a planned World Series of Poker mobile portfolio, based on the high-profile international tournament, and the World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em game will come with multiple modes including single, multiplayer and tournament gameplay.

Glu Mobile has signed a multi-year, worldwide agreement with Harrah's License Company, an affiliate of Harrah's Entertainment, to use the World Series of Poker name.

The company's chief creative office, Robert Nashak, commented: "World Series of Poker is the gold standard, and we look forward to providing fans with the most authentic experience available for the mobile phone.

"By creating a complete World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em gaming experience and empowering fans with the Player Advisor, we'll deliver hours of entertainment and the most valuable poker insight anywhere."
