Daniel Underwood, a 22-year-old student from the UK, is heading to Las Vegas after winning the UK Student Poker Championships.
As well as a £1,000 prize for winning the event, Underwood also wins himself a trip to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournament that is taking place in Sin City this July.
He will face 7,000 other poker enthusiasts this summer in his attempt to win the $7 million first prize as well as the honour of a WSOP title.
The Student Poker Championships took place at St Andrews University with 284 students from across the UK taking part. It was the second-ever event and beat the 2005 attendance levels where 265 students took part.
Underwood ultimately won the event after a tense battle in a heads-up game with Ryan Brandon from Lincoln University.
