US poker magazine heads to the Continent

Leading poker magazine Poker Pro is launching a new European version.

The US magazine for gambling enthusiasts is set to launch Poker Pro Europe, to meet the rising popularity of the game on the Continent.

"Poker is set to explode in Europe and players are hungry for information," said Dan Jacobs, publisher of the magazine.

"Poker Pro Europe will capture the drama and the fun of European poker, both in cardrooms and on the growing European tournament circuit. If it is happening on the European poker scene, you will find it in Poker Pro Europe."

Poker Pro Europe will be available to buy from a range of retailers, including W H Smith, Spar and Rippleglen.

Editor-in-chief John "Jonny Quads" Wenzel, said of the launch of the publication: "European players are a growing force in the poker world.

"The new magazine will be all about them and the European poker lifestyle. The next generation of poker champions will come from Poker Pro Europe readers."
