William Chen has become the latest in a long line of established poker pros to win two World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets in one year.
Chen is just the 27th player in WSOP history to win two bracelets in the same year, reports pokerplayernewspaper.com.
The player recorded his wins in the $2,500 buy-in and $3,000 buy-in No Limit Hold'Em events.
In total, there have been over 600 WSOP bracelet winners over the 37-year history of the organization. The period from 1970 through to 1984 saw 12 two-time winners while 1985 to 1992 saw a drought in any double bracelet winners.
Multiple wins in the WSOP sometimes including three bracelet wins as in the case of Phil Hellmuth Jr in 1993 and Phil Ivey in 2002 have occurred 15 times since 1993.
