An online poker player from Manchester, England, has bagged himself a spot at this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) to be held in the Rio Suite, Las Vegas.
The 38-year-old Andy Chesters from Manchester has never played at a real life poker table before and only began playing the online version of the game a few months ago when he bought a new family PC.
He told the Manchester Evening News: "When I play poker online, all I do is sit there and press buttons on my computer."
"But it's going to be very different at a real card table. I'll have to start practising my poker face," he quipped.
In the space of just a few months, Mr Chesters turned his initial online poker outlay of £30 into a staggering £7,000 kitty.
He used his winnings to pay the £5,400 buy-in for the WSOP showpiece event to be held on July 28th.
