Jamie Gold, the winner of this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event, will be awarded half of his winnings.
The poker pro will now be able to collect $6 million of his prize following a legal dispute with Bruce Crispin Leyser.
Mr Leyser filed a suit after Gold's WSOP victory claiming he was entitled to half of the $12 million pot.
He claims that the pair made a deal before the WSOP Main Event that the winnings would be split 50/50 in return for help finding celebrities for his sponsors.
And while the case was continuing, access to the money was frozen until lawyers for Gold and Leyser this week agreed to a court injunction that would freeze only half the funds.
Gold's lawyers will have until September 15th to challenge the injunction.
