Matthew Hilger, poker professional and author, fared well at this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) events.
Hilger won himself over $48,000 in Las Vegas this year and is now one of only 63 players to have cashed in seven events over the last two years.
His success came in one of the WSOP's busiest years yet with 8,773 players competing in the 2006 Main Event.
He originally made an impact in the poker world back in 2004 when he finished 33rd in the Texas Hold Em Main Event and took home $80,000 in the process.
This year, Hilger has taken home over $21,000 at the WSOP event three, $1,500 in event 44 while his cumulative winnings add up to over $48,000.
