Six players remain in contention for the $1.5 million first place prize at the World Poker Tour on Wednesday.

Taking place at Borgata, over 500 players have been battling it out for four days in the hope of achieving a big pot win.

Even celebrity players such as American Pie actress Shannon Elizabeth have taken part in the exclusive poker event.

There were just 27 players left in the tournament on Monday night with the only remaining female being the academy award-nominated actress Jennifer Tilly.

Despite Tilly's best efforts, she was forced to drop out of proceedings in 15th place by the current chip maestro Mark Newhouse &ndash she took home $52,000 in the process.

The six players who are still in contention for the Borgata title are Mark Newhouse, Chris McCormack, Chris Bell, Blaise Ingoglia, Anthony Argila and David Sklansky.
