Shana Hiatt, the former World Poker Tour (WPT) hostess, is suing the company for economic interference and rumor mongering.
Hiatt, who hosted seasons one to three of the WPT, filed suit last week and named company CEO Steve Lipscomb and other company officials personally responsible.
The complaint seeks injunctive relief and punitive damages for "international interference with economic advantage" and the initial hearing is scheduled for October 17th.
This disagreement seems to center around an approach by NBC towards Hiatt, which the WPT found out about and blocked despite Hiatt no longer working for the company.
Hiatt also claims the WPT created a "hostile working environment" for her with a number of people in the organization spreading rumors about her and her husband.
Seven leading poker players filed a suit against the WPT earlier this year for unfair business practices.
