A British journalist has won £500,000 playing poker, according to reports.
Vicky Coren, a 33-year-old journalist for the Guardian newspaper, tasted her victory in the London leg of the European Poker Tour (EPT).
She won the huge pot at the well know gambling establishment, the London Victoria Casino.
Ms Coren is no poker newcomer, having written a gambling column for her newspaper for some time as well as presenting a number of poker shows on television.
She told the newspaper: "I was totally dazed and shocked. I got lucky. I had the enormous advantage of playing on my home turf against the other players."
It is not the first time Ms Coren has won a large amount playing poker &ndash she took home a £25,000 tournament prize two years ago.
