World Poker Tour Enterprises (WPTE) has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer.
Scott Friedman will take over the position on October 30th from the present incumbent, Todd Steele, who moves on to a private equity firm.
Mr Friedman has been involved with WPTE as vice president of finance and corporate controller since moving from Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2004.
Steve Lipscomb, founder and chief executive officer of WPTE, commented: "Scott has been a valuable member of our team since we took WPTE public and has been instrumental in helping grow the business over the last few years."
He added that WPTE has become a fundamentally strong organization in recent times with strength across its entire financial operations.
"As a result, we were able to promote from within, allowing us to seamlessly transition as we continue to grow our businesses and build shareholder value."
WPTE also announced that it had removed its shares from gaming technology firm, Pokertek, earning the firm around $4.5 million.
