World Poker Tour takes its business online

A new online poker academy has been launched by the World Poker Tour(WPT), the international poker competition series.
Visitors to the WPT Academy can brush up on their strategy and table skills, with the help of step-by-step tutorials and game simulators explaining how to improve plays and make the best of whatever hand you're given.
Players who visit the site can chat to each other through the online community, sharing tips and discussing plays, adding an extra dimension to this 24/7 poker training camp.
Facilities for academy users include an application that calculates a players' odds against different hands, which can simulate six players at a table with any combination of cards; a random function is also available, to represent the unpredictable nature of real games.
And this site isn't just for seasoned players looking to put a final polish on their game, as beginners are catered for with complete, easy to understand explanations of every aspect of Texas hold 'em poker.
