Celtic take a gamble with online poker

Celtic Football Club has started an online poker room that intends to finance its charitable youth program and upgrade its training facility.
Celtic has partnered with fcpokerroom.com to capitalise on the increasing popularity of poker among its fans.
A spokesman for the club noted: "This new association will provide our fans with a fun, exciting, next generation entertainment facility which will also allow fans to play their part in the development of Celtic Football Club."
The Celtic online poker community promises fans to organise into teams to play against each other, other football club fans and potentially, their favourite football players.
Even the Catholic Church of Scotland supports the poker venture, with a spokesman saying gambling was not intrinsically wrong and people who are able to keep control of their habits are right to indulge.
The new poker lounge boasts big prizes that include a championship seat in a Las Vegas tournament.
