15th Anniversary for European tournament

The biggest poker tournament in Europe celebrates 15 years of success when it holds this year's event in Amsterdam from November 3rd to November 11th.

The Master Classics of Poker, held in the Holland Casino Amsterdam in the Netherlands, has a total prize pot of €2.5 million, with an extra €63,900 being contributed by the Holland Casino itself to mark the occasion.

With seven different tournaments of either Omaha or classic Texas Hold'em to play, the competition attracts some of the biggest names in world poker. This year sees the likes of David Colclough and Isabelle Mercier compete with the cream of international players.

A special offer as part of the anniversary will also see the nine finalists in the event's main tournament, Lido Poker, automatically win a $10,000 ticket to take part in next year's World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

The televised tournament is set to be the biggest of its kind yet, with over €300,000 available to the overall winner.
