A new poker book is set to provide an insight into the complex world of poker playing, with tips and advice from one of the most successful poker authors of recent years.
Lessons from the Felt, the fourth poker book written by author David Apostolico since the summer of 2005, continues where Apostolico's 'Lessons from the Pro Poker Tour' left off and analyses hands from real game situations.
Apostolico's career background is in the law profession, and Lessons from the Felt makes good use of such training by advising players to view each hand as a business situation. These strategies will make players focus upon the game and employ effective business-based decisions, Apostolico argues.
The huge boom in online poker playing means that there is a also a section of the book dedicated to online tactics, with topics ranging from how to play sit-and-go tournaments to understanding how to read players without the benefit of seeing their faces.
Last month it was revealed that an audiobook company, AudioBooksForFree.com, was set to offer free poker manuals for players to download to their iPods.
