Two unusual poker tournaments are set to be held in America over the next few weeks, with the common theme being online gambling.
The ninth Extraordinary Southern California Annual RecGambling Outing and Tournament (Escargot) is held in January and is made up of players who began online poker in the first days of the internet during the early 1990s.
Celebrating the fun side of the game, the tournament is not without its skilled players, with Susan Cohen among the players who have cut their teeth at the event in years past. Ms Cohen took home $123,699 at least year's World Series of Poker main event.
Elsewhere, the third annual World Poker Blogger Tour (WPBT) Winter Classic will take place in early December in Las Vegas and features bloggers who have got to know one another &ndash and each others' games &ndash via linking their own blogs to other poker bloggers' across the internet.
Held at the Caesar's Palace casino on December 9th, the event has featured talks from the likes of Barry Greenstein in the past, reports the Pokernews website.
