Hellmuth to be played by Darth Vader

Hayden Christensen, who played Darth Vader in the recent Star Wars prequels, is to star as Phil Hellmuth in a biopic of the poker ace's life, it has been revealed.

Production Weekly claims that Hellmuth has confirmed that Christensen is on board, saying "he's officially committed".

Having once been the youngest ever World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event winner, Hellmuth has now won ten WSOP bracelets over the course of his career.

With working titles of Poker Ace and The Madison Kid, the movie is set to begin filming in the new year. However, Hellmuth is known to be concerned regarding the potential location.

Though the film is currently scheduled to be shot in Winnipeg, Canada, Hellmuth is hopeful of raising enough money for the film to be shot in his home town of Madison.

"what a missed opportunity it would be if Winnipeg served as the 'city double' for Madison. I want to visit the 'Madison Kid' movie set in April of 2007 in the city that I grew up in," Hellmuth said, writing in a local newspaper.
