Poker on the move for PDA users

2006-12-14 16:10:38

Poker players will be able to continue their games on the move thanks to a new release by Real Dice.

The firm has revealed details of plans to put all of its different titles &ndash including poker &ndash on Blackberrys and other personal digital assistants (PDA) in the form of mobile multiplayer games.

With direct connections to other users, and also tournaments and global rankings, Real Dice says it will enable poker players to play on the move.

Using the latest portable technology, gamers will have permanent access, explained Real Dice game development director Guy Ben-Artzi.

"Real Dice games highlight the high resolution screens and internet capabilities of the newest smart phones on the market by providing a graphically rich and connected service," he said.

In addition the games will work across different formats, meaning users with a host of different portable connections &ndash including the Palm OS, Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone - can play.
