Royal flush wins jackpot for Christmas

An internet poker player has won a massive $135,000 (£159,800) playing Caribbean Stud Poker.
Perseverance paid off for the lucky winner as he was dealt his first ever royal flush during the game on the Intercasino website.
He said: "Initially I thought I had won ten per cent of the jackpot with a straight flush, but when I checked my hand more carefully and realized I had a royal flush I was absolutely amazed."
It took the winner ten minutes to collect his thoughts when he realised that the hand would pocket him 100 per cent of the jackpot.
"I have been playing Caribbean poker online with InterCasino for two years," he said.
"I learnt to play poker when I was 12 years old and have been playing both online and offline since then."
The delighted poker player is looking forward to taking some time off work over Christmas with family and friends to celebrate his huge win.
Winnings will be spent on paying off the mortgage and then splashing out on at least one holiday in the new year, the excited player told reporters.
