Authors put their minds to poker challenge

A number of poker authors are to get the chance to put their money where their mouth is when they compete in a Las Vegas event on January 21st, it has been revealed.

The poker tournament will take place at Binion's on the Las Vegas Strip, and will also offer fans the chance to play alongside the poker gurus.

Sponsored by Woman Poker Player magazine, the event will fittingly feature some of the growing number of female poker experts. Kathleen Watterson, Sheree Bykofsky, Susie Isaacs and Maryann Morrison will all be in attendance.

Male words of wisdom will also be available thanks to the presence of John Vorhaus &ndash the only poker analyst to have written for all four major poker publications &ndash and Alan Schoonmaker &ndash author of The Psychology of Poker.

For a fee of $125 fans will be able to use the experts' advice against them as they compete on the green felt. Registration for the event will be combined with a series of book signings on the morning of the tournament itself.
