InterPoker unveils $1,000 blackjack offering

A new promotion from online gambling website InterPoker.com will give players the chance to win up to $500 every week, the company has announced.
The Blackjack Freeroll competition will run every Monday from midnight to midnight Eastern Time, with a significant amount of money up for grabs.
Launched to celebrate the availability of casino games on the poker website, the game gives players a $2,000 balance and 60 minutes on the clock, challenging them to rack up the highest possible balance.
With an overall pot of $1,000, the game offers each week's winner $500, with $250 going to second place and ten runners-up receiving $25 each.
Blackjack is the latest game to successfully make the transition from offline to online, with players eager to participate in web-based tournaments throughout 2006.
Developer CryptoLogic was one software provider that seized on this trend, offering innovative new games such as Hold'Em Blackjack, a game aiming to bring the tactical complexity of poker to the blackjack world.
