All-female poker tournament set for Las Vegas

Binions Casino in Las Vegas is set to host the first ever televised all-female poker tournament, it has been announced.
The Ultimate Women's Poker Challenge will take place on February 9th and February 10th as part of the Ultimate Poker Challenge series.
The series has teamed up with Woman Poker Player Magazine (WPPM) to stage the event, which aims to capitalise on the increased attention the game has been getting from female competitors in recent months.
"This is an excellent opportunity for women to come out and make a name for themselves in poker," said WPPM publisher Maryann Morrison.
"Women are growing in the poker field in great numbers and I expect some tough competition in the field. I hope that as many women as possible will come out to show support for the growth of women's poker," she added.
A recent gambling survey found that female internet casino players now account for 55 per cent of all visitors to online venues.
