A sequel to one of the most successful poker video games has been delayed by a month, developers have revealed.
World Championship Poker 2 will now be released on major video game platforms such as Xbox 360 and PlayStation2 on April 20th as opposed to the original March 16th release date.
The new version has signed up the likes of Howard Lederer in an effort to appeal to more seasoned poker players, with developers proclaiming that increased artificial intelligence will provide the most realistic video game poker experience yet.
With a number of video games having flooded the market of late, as developers look to capitalise on the poker renaissance, World Championship Poker 2 is likely to face stern competition.
A recent UK Gamespot review of the game praised its offline play but advised that mid-game bluffing was a "flawed concept", meaning gamblers may be better off seeking out an online poker room if they want to discover the easiest way to play poker from the comfort of their own home.
