Authors challenged to let their play do the talking

Large numbers of poker guidebooks flooding the market have resulted in a number of players following the advice of unseen authors when they play at their favourite online casinos, but a new event will see which tactics work best as a number of writers go head to head.
While the majority of poker authors base their publications on their own experiences playing the game, gamblers will no doubt still be interested to see how the writers put their own strategies into action at the Poker Authors Challenge in Atlantic City.
The annual event will be held at the Trump Taj Mahal on March 4th, with a buy-in fee of $120.
Round the table will be the likes of Peter Alson, author of Take Me to the River, David Apostolico, author of Tournament Poker and the Art of War, and Dan Kimberg, author of Serious Poker.
A separate author's challenge held at Binion's, Las Vegas, last month saw Lou Krieger take home the bragging rights.
