Vegas Grand Prix brings poker to the table

The Las Vegas Grand Prix, set to be held as a Champ Car event on April 8th, will be accompanied by a star-studded poker event at nearby Binion's, it has been announced.

Champ Car drivers will race through downtown Las Vegas during the special race, which will conjure up memories of the Formula One World Championship races held in the city in 1981 and 1982.

But the drivers will also be on hand at Binion's to compete in a charity poker tournament on April 7th, PokerNews reports.

The charity game will be preceded by a four-flight Grand Prix tournament, held from April 2nd to April 5th, which will host up to 600 eager players.

Prize giveaways, autograph signings and ticket promotions for the big race itself will all be on offer during the week-long event, which aims to combine high stakes gambling with high speed racing action.
