Former EastEnders star Michael Greco has won a substantial amount of money in a Welsh poker event.
The actor took hope £100,000 after successfully wining the third round of the Grosvenor Poker Tour in Cardiff.
Since leaving his role as Beppe di Marco in 2002, he has embarked on a career as a professional poker player as well as staring in a number of reality shows such as ITV's Celebrity Love Island but this is his first major poker win.
Competition tour manager Jonathan Raab, said: "After a long, hard- fought poker session, Michael was a worthy winner. He has shown that he has what it takes to go all the way in this game and we look forward to him defending his title."
A total of 300 players were involved in the four day event and first place for Mr Greco secures him a seat at the main Grosvenor event due to be held in London in November.
