High Stakes Poker season four announced

2007-04-04 16:35:05

The fourth season of the popular GSN show High Stakes Poker is to film its fourth season in Las Vegas this May, it has been revealed.

The show is GSN's most popular programme and has been downloaded over 350,000 times on the network's website and iTunes, with organisers promising even more money-spinning action for the new season.

Last year players such as 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion Jamie Gold were among those who featured in season three, with fellow competitor Brad Booth memorably raising the stakes by bringing over a million dollars to gamble with.

"[High Stakes Poker] is far and away the most talked about poker show. We plan on making High Stakes Poker 4 the richest season yet with players bringing up to a million dollars of their own money to play in the biggest cash game on TV," said GSN president and chief executive Rich Cronin.

The new season is expected to air in the third quarter, with minimum buy-ins for the past three seasons standing at $100,000.
