The Academy of Country Music (ACM) is hitting the bright lights of Las Vegas to try its hand at poker.
The ACM's first annual charity poker tournament is designed to raise money for its charitable fund, which helps projects such as a school for the blind in Tennessee.
The contest will take place at the MGM Grand on May 14th and the winner could walk home with $10,000 on the night
Country singer John Rich declared that "having us host the inaugural tournament is both and honor and privilege to rack up some chips for charity".
Big Kenny said he was "thrilled" at the upcoming contest and added that ACM hopes "to see some big winnings come out of this throw down".
Poker is the stuff of country song lyrics.
Country legend Kenny Rogers once scored a hit with "The Gambler", which featured the ever-pertinent advice that "you got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away and know when to run."
