The European tour of the World Series of Poker will start on September this year and will have London as its first and main venue.
Events will start in the English capital on 6 September and continue until 16 September, taking place mainly at three casinos &ndash Fifty, Leicester Square and the Sportsman.
Winners in the London events will get WSOP bracelets, just like those handed out at the main event in Las Vegas taking place this summer.
The idea to bring WSOP competition to London began once Harrah's Entertainment, who owns the competition through its Binion Horseshoe brand, bought London Clubs International, owners of all the card rooms where the events will take place.
The prize pot is estimated at being £7.5 million, and expected to attract 750 players.
The final and main competition will take place over seven days at Leicester square and require a buy-in of $10,000.
There will also be a three-day, £2,500, H.O.R.S.E. tournament and a £5,000 pot-limit Omaha event.
