WPT and CryptoLogic sign deal

Online software provider CryptoLogic has announced that it is to supply the World Poker Tour's (WPT) gaming network with its poker software for the next three years.

The agreement will see the new WPT poker room, set to be launched in June, provided with the latest CryptoLogic poker games. WPT has also said that it will launch a number of WPT-specific games and promotional offerings.

Among the games to be developed are a number of broader casino offerings, including blackjack, roulette and popular online game Bejeweled.

"It is the perfect strategic step for both companies, as World Poker Tour and CryptoLogic are pioneers in the global gaming phenomenon," said Javaid Aziz, chief executive and president at CryptoLogic.

"CryptoLogic has proven itself to be an industry leader that delivers a superior product. This deal ensures that starting with day one of our online gaming re-launch there will be a plethora of cash games and tournament offerings available for our customers on a stable and proven platform," added WPT Entertainment president Steven Lipscomb.

CryptoLogic has recently secured separate deals with Holland Casino and DTD Poker.
