Weeks of gaming are set to continue through June and July as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) gets going following its launch on the first of this month.
Highlights of the poker calendar, which consist of two, three and five-day events, including a $2,500 Horse game starting on June 9th and a $5,000 no limit hold'em challenge beginning on June 13th.
Meanwhile, fans of the alternating Horse format can follow a whopper $50,000 buy-in game, lasting five days and upping the stakes as of June 24th when it kicks off.
A $1,000 fixed-limit 27 triple draw with rebuys begins on June 29th, being a potentially exciting two-day event and a precursor to the no limit hold'em table fulfilling the rest of the WSOP calendar and rounding off the series on the 17th of the month.
The tournament first took place in 1968 at Reno's Holiday Hotel and Casino.
