WSOP Europe details emerge

Events and games scheduled for this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe have been released and are sure to whet the appetites of poker lovers around the world.

Kicking off with a three-day, £2,500 ($5,154) HORSE event, September 6th sees the first day of the competition take place at the Empire casino in London's Leicester Square.

September 8th is the start of a two-day £5,000 pot limit Omaha event, which is also set to take place at the Empire.

But the main event - which should be a spectacular showdown - is a £10,000 No Limit Texas Hold 'em and could see a winner emerge similarly to last week's international competition, where Californian Jerry Yang took home over $8 million in prize money.

Other casinos hosting events at WSOP Europe are set to be the Sportsman and Fifty, both in the UK capital.
