2007-08-02 15:56:23

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is making its first stop in the Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos in the fall, it has been announced.

As such, PlayersOnly.com is giving players the opportunity to enjoy a gambling holiday at the televised Club Med event.

Prize packages that include travel, accommodation and a seat at the main event will be awarded to tournament winners of the Super Satellite and leaderboard champions.

"There's a million dollars guaranteed to the winner and the final table is going to be televised," said PlayersOnly.com manager David Anderson.

"So WPT Turks and Caicos should attract some high profile competition," he added.

Weekly Super Satellites run until September, while regular players can collect Gold Cards points on the leaderboard.

The Turks and Caicos Islands consist of 40 islands, only eight of which are inhabited.

Turks and Caicos' official currency is US dollars, which will make it easer for WPT winners to spend their earnings.
