2007-08-03 12:23:37

Almost 20 PokerTek poker tables have gone live in the world's largest automated poker room, it has been announced.

The newly-opened Four Winds Poker Room in Michigan features fifteen PokerPro ten-seat tables and four PokerPro Heads-Up tables.

PokerTek said that the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, which owns the casino, has demonstrated its "phenomenal" commitment to electronic poker.

Players use individual touch-screen to view their cards and to call, raise or fold; they can view the pot, community cards and players' chip stacks on the large center display.

"Four Winds is committed to delivering the best gaming and entertainment experience possible and PokerPro is part of that commitment," said Matt Harkness, casino general manager.

"We are proud to open this state-of-the-art, all-PokerPro poker room."

Visitors to Four Winds will be able to choose from 100 tables and 3,000 slot machines. There is also a 165-room hotel, parking space and numerous restaurants situated on the complex.
