Poker website moves in on German market

Poker is becoming increasingly popular in Germany, according to one gambling firm, which has decided to capitalise on its findings.
HotPokerBonus.com believes that Germany has become hooked on the "entertaining, challenging and potentially rewarding game" and has launched a new site to cater for the market.
The German language web portal will allow both novices and more experienced players to hone their skills and strategies, preparing them for big wins at major tournaments.
"It should not be surprising to anyone that the many German players presently engaged in pursuing poker excellence will soon arrive at the destination of poker fame," said a spokesperson.
"It is only a matter of time before the next World Series of Poker champion declares their home to be Germany."
The first German Poker Tour took place in the fall of 2005 and was sponsored by Everest Poker and the German Poker Player Association.
