Card Media Player wins exclusive WPT reporting rights

Card Player Media has been named the official partner of the World Poker Tour (WPT) and will receive exclusive live tournament reporting rights.
By joining forces with WPT's Live Updates team, Card Player hopes to provide the most comprehensive coverage of the tour.
The coverage will include hand-by-hand reporting of all regular Season VI WPT tournaments and running chip counts.
"We are thrilled to be joining forces with the WPT in providing the most complete poker tournament coverage available," said Barry Shulman, chief executive officer of Card Player Media.
"With this deal, two of the largest and most respected poker organizations will be working together to expand coverage from the world's biggest tournaments."
Other media organizations will receive summarized news feeds every hour.
Yesterday, Card Player Media announced that it had teamed up with Ladies International Poker Series to bring poker coverage to female poker players across the US.
The coverage will include a poker section for women, profiles, schedules and articles.
