WPT to take part in breast cancer fundraiser

World Poker Tour (WPT) has partnered with a breast cancer movement known as Susan G Komen for the Cure.
WPT will host the fifth Ladies' Night tournament on August 18th and 19th at Los Angeles' Bicycle Casino.
Participating ladies can play Texas Hold'em while having their feet pampered by experienced pedicurists.
"We really look forward to doing this event each year as it benefits an organization that works tirelessly around the clock," said Robyn Moder, WPT spokesperson.
"Not only does Ladies' Night raise funds for such a great cause, but it raises important awareness and strength among the women who come and participate in the event."
WPT will make a $5,000 donation to the breast cancer organization and Bicycle Casino will donate 15 per cent of each $1,000 buy-in.
According to the American Cancer Society Cancer, around 178,500 women and 2,030 men will be diagnosed with new cases of cancer in the US this year.
