Poker enthusiasts in Europe will now be able to play Texas Hold'em on their cell phones, thanks to a new service from Hands-On Mobile.
World Poker Tour Texas Hold 'Em 2 is a multiplayer game that allows poker players to play in real-time against five other people from around the world.
Around 200,000 multiplayer hands are played each week in the US and the average user plays for four hours per month.
"We have been looking forward to this launch for a long time and we are all incredibly excited," said president Eric Hobson.
"Poker is a real community game and now [
] that community will be able to play and interact with each other no matter where they are in the world."
Earlier this year Oasys Mobile launched Texas Hold'em 2007 with Phil Hellmuth, whereby players can create avatars on their PCs and upload them to their cell phones.
