Sweden's rising star in sponsorship deal

Sweden's newest poker star, Stefan Mattsson, has agreed to be sponsored by a luxury online poker room.
Following his strong showing at the 38th World Series of Poker (WSoP), Purple Lounge has signed a one-year partnership with the 27 year-old.
"I'm delighted to be working with Purple Lounge and I'm looking forward to building a great relationship with my new team," commented Mattsson.
"My WSoP result this year was simply mind-blowing and I'm confident I can achieve some more great results for Purple Lounge over the next year."
At this year's WSoP, Mattsson came 22nd out of 6,358 players, up from 57th place in the 2006 event.
Under the terms of the sponsorship deal, the Swede will represent Purple Lounge as a brand ambassador on the international poker circuit and at various parties and exhibitions.
Mattsson, whose game of choice is Blackjack, also came fourth at the Bellagio Cup III, which saw him win $12,305 in prize money.
