Australian Open poker satellites announced

Online poker players could be heading to Australia to compete in the Australian Open thanks to an internet poker room.

Enthusiasts who compete in VC Poker's Super Satellites competition could win a seat at Australia's leading live poker tournament which takes place between October 24th and 30th.

The satellite prize package is worth AUS $6,000 ($5,200), which includes entry into the Australian Open's AUS $3,000 main event.

"Included in the package is six nights accommodation at the luxurious Crown Promenade Hotel in Melbourne for the duration of the tournament and a travel allowance," said a VC poker spokesperson.

"A Melbourne boat cruise and lunch are also part of the package to round off the vacation of a lifetime."

VC Poker is also offering to help poker enthusiasts gain entry to the European Championship of Online Poker for a small fee.
