The European Poker Tour (EPT) Baden Classic got underway this weekend.
Casino Baden is the host of the event which features stars such as Barny Boatman, Vanessa Rousso and Barry Greenstein.
This year the tournament will feature 281 players from 32 different countries, each contributing 8,000 ($11,269) to make a pot of over 2 million.
First place will get 670,800, second place 375,000 and third place 225,000.
The first day saw 126 players eliminated and that number will increase further over the coming days, with the final table taking place on Wednesday October 10th.
At the end of day one, table two seated Dane Sander Lyloff was the chip leader with 66,150.
Hungary's Gyoergy Moger was in second place on 46,775 and Germany's Manfred Hammer took third on 43,825.
German Thang Duc Nguyen won last year's event from a field of 331 contestants.
