Following the potentially damaging news of tournament cheating at PokerStars, another scandal could be about to emerge, this time at Absolute Poker.
Claims have been made that there was a security breach at the gambling site last month and that an Absolute Poker employee may have given information to a tournament winner.
This was meant to have happened during a $1,000 buy-in which took place in September.
CardPlayer.com reports that the Kahanwake Gaming Commission (KGC) have brought in investigators to explore the rumours.
Gaming Associates (GA), who will carry out the audit, were initially approached by Absolute Poker to investigate but GA has said it would prefer to remain independent.
It said that it will work closely with the KGC but stressed that it is not under the control of the body.
Marco Johnson was the poker player who sparked the investigation after he queried a hand played by someone known as Potripper.
