Day two of the North American Poker Championship (NAPC) was wrapped up yesterday.
The Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Canada is hosting the No Limit Hold 'Em Championship, which has a $10,000 buy-in.
Whoever wins the event will take home $1,361,724 and will also be given a place at the World Poker Tour Championship next year.
The second day saw the field, originally consisting of 504 participants, whittled down from 234 to 79, according to Cardplayer.com.
Joe Cassidy leads the chip count going into day three with 330,500, Aran Jamasi is second with 306,800 and Dale Pinchot is third with 256,000.
World Series of Poker two-time bracelet winner Jeff Madsen is in seventh place with 213,200 chips.
The NAPC is scheduled to finish on Friday November 2nd.
Last year's tournament winner was Soren Turkeswitch who defeated 497 other players to win $1,225,920.
