The third day of the North American Poker Championship (NAPC) got underway on Tuesday with 79 players left remaining in the field.
When all was said and done, just 18 were left standing and some big name players were heading home.
Jeff Madsen, twice World Series of Poker bracelet winner, was one such casualty being eliminated in the first hour, according to CardPlayer.com.
Fellow bracelet holder and former Party Poker Million winner Kathy Liebert was also knocked out, as well as day two's chip leader Joe Cassidy.
At the end of the day, Jonathan Little was in the lead with 1.576 million chips, David Cloutier was in second with 1.34 million chips and Kofi Farkye was in third 1.212 million chips.
Wednesday will be a rest day for the players. The tournament is scheduled to finish on Friday November 2nd.
The Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Canada is hosting the event.
