First Executive Poker Tour results

2007-11-01 11:30:09

The first ever Executive Poker Tour (EXPT) event has taken place.

Held in Atlantic City at the Trump Taj Mahal, top poker player Lee Childs took home the first prize and donated some of his winnings to charity.

EXPT is not a profit-making business and aims to help charities like Project Lifesaver, which was founded by the same business man Rick Rahim.

Buy-in for the tournament was $2,500 with proceeds going to the charity that helps the mentally impaired and senior citizens who might be in danger of wandering off unsupervised.

Mr Child's donates money to several charities according to Cardplayer.com, including the Alzheimer's Association and the Make a Wish Foundation.

He shot to fame in poker circles at this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP), where he reached the final table and finished in seventh place.

Launchpoker uses a hand played by Childs at the WSOP as an example of nervousness affecting an aggressive play.
