Penultimate day of the North American Poker Championship

2007-11-02 10:47:55

Thursday was the penultimate day of the North American Poker Championship (NAPC), which will finish tonight.

At the start there were still 18 players left but by the end of the day this number had been cut to just a third, leaving six players for Friday's final table.

Jonathan Little maintained his chip lead from the start of the day and goes in to Friday's final in a strong position with 2,616,000 chips, according to Cardplayer.com.

Scott Clements is in second place with 2,483,000 chips with David Cloutier in third with 1,614,000 chips.

Koki Farkye (1,504,000), Jeff Garza (1,320,000) and Barry Greenstein (447,000) make up the rest of the field.

Currently coming fifth in Cardplayer.com's Player of the Year rankings, Little is possibly the favourite going into the final but the competition is very strong.

Scott Clements is a two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, as is Barry Greenstein.
