Top Starcraft player Grospellier came fifth, while former World Series of Poker winner Joe Hachem finished in eighth.
The tournament began with 350 players, each buying in for $2,500 at the event, officially titled Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Macau Asian Poker Open.
A $15,000 high-roller tournament, which is part of the event, has yet to take place - but it will feature the likes of Scotty Nguyen and Barry Greenstein.
