Daniel Idema has won the main event at the British Columbia Poker Championship in Canada.
Hosted at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, Idema outlasted 642 other poker players to take home the $402,500 grand prize, according to Card Player.
Jason Dong finished in second and won $250,355, while Bradley Birarda came third and got $156,170.
The tournament buy-in was $2,700, which created a prize pool worth $1.61 million.
It was not as popular an event as it was last year, where 784 people took part to create a pot of $2 million.
David White won that main event, earning $600,000 according to Poker Pages, with Derrick Law coming second and Atsushi Kobayashi third.
Also included in the championship was a $550 tournament for ladies only. All the games were Texas Hold 'Ems, although a $1,100 buy-in event had a pot limit, as opposed to being no-limit.
