Top 10 women poker earners revealed

2007-11-29 17:20:58

The top ten women poker players in the world in terms of career earnings have been revealed.

PokerNews made the list, saying that they expected the results to surprise many poker enthusiasts, with the possible exception of the number one spot.

World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Kathy Liebert has apparently earned the most money during her 15 years as a player, with $4,039,332 in the bank.

In second place is Annie Duke with $3,476,942, a total heavily bolstered by the $2 million win at the 2004 WSOP Tournament of Champions.

Another person benefiting from one huge win is Anette Obrestad who is in third place with $2,481,868, helped by the 2007 WSOP Europe main event.

Two other noted players to appear on the list are Mimi Tran (sixth with $1,432,056) and Victoria Coren (tenth with $1,105,491).

Coren may not be well-known to American players, but British fans of Late Night Poker will likely remember on of the top female players in Europe.
